MONSTERS

Monsters weaves a tale of both literal and metaphorical shadows. This song is about the untold stories that shape us but stay hidden until their inevitable journey to the surface. As adults we have a desire to look away from what we can’t quite make sense of. This song beckons us to stop ignoring and welcome the shadows.

High Hopes

"The blending between the vocals and the acoustic guitar on this track are exceptionally well done. When the harmony vocal and the organ enter the track, it goes from a good relaxing acoustic folk tune to an outstanding folk soundscape. I really appreciate the depth of this track. The minimalist layering in the production is exactly perfect for conveying the sincerity in the lyrical message. This reminds me of something from Blaze Foley or John Prine. It’s outstanding."

DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM! GET YOUR COPY

Our new album, Noise, (released November 15th 2019) is a collection of songs written from a place of hope, hilarity, tragedy and questioning. It seeks to engage with the often chaotic experience of human life — whether it’s the noise of the world around us, the internal noise we try to make sense of, or simply the noise we can’t help but make as we fumble our way through our own beautiful journey.

“...remarkably innovative and moving vocal harmony-rooted folk sound.”
— Ear to the Ground Music

Noise is available on all major digital distribution platforms and is available on CD and Vinyl. Or see where we’re playing next and pick up a copy at a show in your area.

This project would not have been possible without the generous support of you: our friends, family, and fans. In addition to each of you, we also owe a huge amount of gratitude for the tremendous support received through the Community Arts Investment Program of the London Arts Council and City of London.

FALL 2019 SINGLE DID I

Did I is an anthem that emerged from the tense and sometimes blameful feelings that often follow disagreements. The song articulates some of the inner dialogue that comes with a lot of reflection, a bit of self loathing and an ultimate desire to feel at peace with yourself and all of the people you share the world with.

“Canadian outfit take influence from The Staves with this warm and heartfelt folk-pop swoon”
— Mystic Sons

“The groove quivers beneath an Alannah Myles quake, a little psych-folk and a whole lotta indie-rock.”
— B-Sides & Badlands
