Find Our Way is about trying so hard to fit yourself into story that is not yours, and the pain of that experience.
We are offered these moments of love. Moments to show ourselves and be ourselves. Sometimes it feels so unsafe to be the truest version of who we are that we let it all go. We squeeze our multifaceted being back into a false picture of "normal" under the illusion of belonging and it aches... but we continue.
"Asleep" is about sleeping in. And not the blissful, cozy type of sleeping in. The type that makes you feel like the whole world is moving along and you're being left behind. A potentially relatable song born out of the beginning of the pandemic, it's about still wanting to matter and to care about showing up, but at the same time, just wanting to sleep.
"Sunday to Tuesday" was inspired while watching the distance between two loved ones grow wider and wider. As musicians, it’s a challenge to find balance with a life on the road and still nurturing close, loving relationships. While those at home don’t see the benefits of a Friday to Sunday weekend and free weekday evenings, we imagine all the love that could fill the days between Sunday and Tuesday.
Easier to Leave was inspired by all the challenges that we inevitably face within long term relationships. It was written in response to the many fears and anxieties that trickle into our day to day interactions causing inevitable arguments that seem to have no rational foundation.
"Backing this relatablestorytelling and gorgeous vocals we have a blend of acoustic and electric guitar strums beautifully paired with lush piano keys and energetic drums that together create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for a reflective day outside.” - Caesar Live N Loud, Portugal
Superhuman was written while preparing for a first-ever therapy session. It’s a sarcastic song with a smattering of feelings and self-doubt. We're hoping this song makes it easier to laugh at how hard we try to be more than human.
"'Superhuman' is a delightful, freshly released single from the brilliant Canadian collective The Pairs. This charming and spirited composition explores the beauty of not being perfect. The nimble instrumentals and incredibly infectious dynamic frame the track. The masterfully crafted, delicious harmonies add an exceptional gloss to it. 'Superhuman' embodies the electrifying power of dulcet melodies, uplifting sound and pure drive." - Tonic Grain, USA
